3 Notable Games Unveiled in Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase This Month

Nintendo released its Indie World Showcase on April 15th,  and while there were many games highlighted, 3 games were particularly notable.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a retro-style beat ‘em up that pays homage to classic games from the franchise like Turtles In Time

The game is being published by Dotemu, and developed by a team that partially worked on the smash hit title Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game called Tribute.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will be released on Nintendo Switch, as well as PC, later this year.

The Longing

Inspired by an old legend, in The Longing you play as a creature called a Shade where you find ways to pass the time of 400 days in real-time until your king awakens.

Whether you play or not, you must wait 400 real days for the awakening of your king, which is an innovative idea that has garnered mass attention.

The game was released on PC on March 6th and has received widespread acclaim, and is now available on the Nintendo Switch since the Nintendo Indie World Showcase went live.

The House of the Dead Remake

If you blinked, you may have missed it, but the Indie World Showcase actually unveiled The House of the Dead Remake for the Nintendo Switch in a highlights reel at the end.

The House of the Dead was a popular arcade rail shooter of the 90’s, and media sites have been speculating about the franchise's grand return for the past couple of years.

The franchise is finally back with a full remake and is set to release on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
